Sam Dunn is a 25 year old Illustrator based in East London. She grew up in Hartlepool, a fading seaside town in the far North East of England and spent her weekends exploring the dense forests of the Lake District National Park. Her work is delicately crafted by hand with pen and ink.
“This piece is a celebration of the sustainable, ecological impact the font could have on modern print production. The unique, angled lines of the letterform inspired the composition of the illustration. At the heart of the concept, these simple areas of negative space are the saviours of modern print production, saving ink every time the font is used in place of another. By contrasting the striking, digitally crafted letter with the organic, hand drawn element, the poster intertwines the digital world with the natural one.”
